Irrigation

In this photo you will see the strawberry plants under the row covers. In the center of the field is where Jeff has set up his irrigation station. We had some extremely cold weather that had burst a couple of the pipes. We thought we had drained the lines well enough to prevent that from happening but didn't. We planted some onions on this day and he and 2 of the guys he works with were trying to get it fixed so that we could run the irrigation all the way to that end of the field. On the left in the red sweatshirt is Ricardo, in the center is Anthony, and on the right is Jeff digging down in the hole.

Just onther snap shot of the guys at work. I think in all the irrigation had burst in 3 places that needed to be cut and replaced. You will notice that Anthony hasn't moved at all from the last photo. Needless to say that is a huge problem I have with him. We'll just have to see how it goes.

This is Jeff who is busy cutting a section of the pipe and looking at me as if he wished I would put the camera away and help him.

Another quick shot of Jeff. After this one I had to put the camera away and help out.
I'd like to take a moment to say I am one of those rare wives who has a husband that really can do ANYTHING. He is the hardest working person that I know and in the 5 years that we have been together I have not come across anyone with a single bad thing to say about it. He is the nicest person you will ever meet and will do all he can to help friends and family. I am a very lucky woman.
