This is a picture of the front of the market as you would come up the driveway. I was so excited to see some wood up!!
This is a closer picture. In a previous posting I had mentioned the concret slabs on the ground. We were hoping to be able to use those for the handicap parking but it is entirely tooooo close to the market as you can see. Once we get a chance we are hoping to be able to pull those up and place them somewhere else. We are just hoping that they stay in one piece when we dig them up. In the background is our well house. When I paint the sign by the driveway I am also going to paint the wood on the roof and the door. I am thinking bright red but Jeff may want something a little more subdued.
This is the scene just through the wooden columns. That trench you see that is filled with concrete blocks is the trench that we spent an entire weekend in digging out for a second time and then placing rebar down. You will notice that we have some of the plumbing done. Again at this point we had to wait for another inspection.
This is just a picture inside the soon to be structure that will be to the right upon entering. This is where the kitchen and office will be. In the background you will see some old windows leaning against a tree. I am going to take those to my mom who does all kinds of crafts and I am going to see if she will do a stained glass image on them to hang in the market. These are old windows that were in the old house. They have that really old glass in them that kind of has this wavy look to them. I am thinking they would make really nice pieces of "art" for us.
Today Jeff and Andy (the plumber) got a few more things done. I forgot to take the camera with me but they laid down the plastic and wire on top of this clay that you see. Tomorrow we have to get an exterminator to come out and spray it and then wait for another inspection. Jeff is hoping that we will be getting some of the wall frames up this week. I am so excited!! At that point I will be snapping pictures like crazy.
